Peasant Christmas gingerbread
The recipe for this baking is interesting because it has no fat component. Gingerbread prepared without sugar, with honey. Our ancestors in Ancient Russia, getting merchants overseas spices, first, do not know how and what to mix them. Tried to add them to the jelly in the jam-it's not that. Finally decided to mix clove and pepper with flour and honey. Sweet-spicy batter many had to taste, and cakes and came to be called "gingerbread".
