Chakhokhbili
Option delicious Georgian dishes from the "school of Gastronome", with my slight modifications. In my opinion, this is not a classic recipe, at least my grandmother, who lived in Georgia prepared the dish differently. But still very tasty!

Ingredients

  • Chicken

    1200 g

  • Onion

    4 piece

  • Tomato

    6 piece

  • Peppers red hot chilli

    1 piece

  • Garlic

    4 tooth

  • Cilantro

    1 coup

  • Basil

    1 coup

  • Khmeli-suneli

    1 Tbsp

  • Butter

    1 Tbsp

  • Salt

Chicken wash, dry. If the chicken carcass - cut into small pieces, about the same size. I have this time only the calf. The pan heat, put the chicken and fry WITHOUT OIL on a medium heat for 15 minutes. Constantly flip the chicken, so as not to overheat and roasted on all sides evenly. In this case, I like to use a Teflon pan, yet it is better adapted for roasting without oil.

Tomatoes washed, scalded with boiling water, rinse with cold water, remove skin and cut into small cubes.

Add the tomatoes to the chicken and roast for 10 minutes, without lid.

Meanwhile, peel the onion and cut it into thin half-rings. In a separate frying pan, heat the butter and fry the onions until Golden brown.

Add fried onions to the chicken, cover and simmer over low heat for 30 minutes. Periodically stir.

Chilli peppers and finely chop the greens. Add to the chicken when it's ready. Also to it add the pressed garlic, Khmeli-suneli and salt to taste. Stir and simmer for another 7 minutes.
