Braided cake with NAPA cabbage
Enjoy a simple cake with NAPA cabbage. Like anything new and unusual. However, I want to share the new look of the cake. Agree, the dish should be not only delicious, it should still be pleasing to the eye. The filling in the cake can be any to your taste and depending on availability of the products in the refrigerator. And the top of the cake offer to decorate that braiding dough and fresh vegetables. It seemed to me, looks impressive.

Cooking

step-0
The dough for the pie I have done, so we start with the filling. In vegetable oil fry the onion to begin until soft, add grated carrots. Then chopped bell pepper and cabbage. Salt, pepper to taste.
step-1
Add the tomato and stew until ready. Remove from heat and put in bowl to cool. Add the chopped parsley.
step-2
I also added dill, I love a lot of greenery. When the filling has cooled, add 2 eggs, stir. I have in the fridge were a few pieces of sausage to good not gone, I cut small cubes and sent to the filling (though initially did not plan that). The stuffing is ready.
step-3
While the filling cooled, I worked on weaving the top of the pie. Vegetables: eggplant, zucchini, and one bell pepper I sliced into strips (as pictured).
step-4
Roll out portion of dough and cut into strips with a width of about 1 cm One strip is glued perpendicular to the sliced dough (as pictured) and one strip to throw them away. Put one strip of eggplant peel up, flip the strips back. Then throw the strips, starting from the second row, i.e. staggered. Now lay a strip of red pepper and repeat the rehandling of the strips. The next vegetable is the zucchini, and toss the strips again. Then add the peppers again, and again engaged in weaving. I think the photo process more clear than I was trying to describe. The idea being, that were clearly visible, the colors of the vegetables. Ie because the red pepper, we alternated often. In the end, you should get here is a colorful "Blankie", we put on the toppings.
step-5
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Collect the cake. The form (I glass) I made baking paper and greased it slightly with vegetable oil. The second part of dough a little roll out and put in the form, forming the sides. Spread the filling, smooth. Now the most difficult — need to be carefully moved and put our netting. Perhaps you need two hands, I did it myself. I have the netting was food film, I think it is more convenient to do it on baking paper, it will be easier to move. Put "blanket". Around the perimeter I cut even strips of dough with a fork pressed into the cake. So it looks pie before baking.
step-6
In addition, I greased pie with egg yolk and sprinkled with sesame seeds. Send the cake in the oven for 50-60 minutes (the time depends on your oven, watch it). If necessary, the top of the pie you can cover with foil if it starts to burn. The cake is ready leave to rest for 20-30 minutes. Cut into portions and call your family and guests to the table. Bon appetit!
