Idea for the contest "Journey to ancient recipes" our family dish. The dish is delicious, hearty and casual. It was made even my grandmother Daria Ivanovna for his numerous family. Then grandma Maria Danilovna, then my mom Nina. Now the dish is cooked and me. But of course with some changes, because life does not stand still!

Ingredients

Just want to say that preparing this dish is not quick! Need plenty of time for pearl barley, which is in the part of the recipe. Pearl barley of my grandmothers and mother (and now me)to soak overnight. Grandmother soaked cereal in a cabbage or cucumber brine from wooden barrels. My mother and I in the water.
