Beetroot marinade in a new way
A classic appetizer of beets, with the new notes in the form of lemon and orange juice and honey. Delicious, fragrant sweet and sour snack! Try!

Ingredients

  • Beets

    350 g

  • Vegetable oil

    50 g

  • Honey

    1 Tbsp

  • Bay leaf

    3 piece

  • Black pepper

  • The juice of a freshly squeezed

    250 ml

  • Water

    3 Tbsp

  • Salt

Raw (!!!) beets grate on a special grater (the so-called "Korean) or just on a coarse grater or cut into thin strips

The pan heats oil, quickly sauté the beet from all sides. It should be "limp"

From lemons and oranges squeeze the juice. You will need 150 ml lemon 100 ml orange. Pour it to the beetroot

Add the honey, all mix well, fire diminish to a minimum. If juice in the marinade is not enough - add 3 -4 tbsp water

Add Bay leaf and salt to taste

Taste for salt, sweetness, acid, if necessary, corrected. Add ground black pepper to taste, let cool completely

If desired, the cooled marinade, you can optionally fill the fragrant Kuban sunflower oil. It is at your discretion.
