step-0
Start with the background. On one site in section of sweets I saw this pack. Title reads that it is "Sweet cherry", description is "Traditional Chinese sweets from dried fruits of tomato", really intrigued me is a miracle, but the price stopped. And here in my head the idea to try to implement it at home, since the dryer is good there. The result is I stand in Your court.
step-1
For this recipe you need to choose the cherry is not quite small and not watery inside. To wash them, dry and prick many times with a toothpick.
step-2
Make the syrup. I decided to add flavor, picked Basil and ginger. I think that the good here is to add vanilla.
step-3
Pour the sugar into a saucepan, add water and bring to a boil, stirring so the sugar is all dissolved.
step-4
As soon as the syrup starts to boil, pour it into the cherry tomatoes, add Basil and sliced ginger.
step-5
Bring it all to a boil. Boiled properly, proverjaem 2-3 minutes, turn off and leave to cool.
step-6
So done again 3-4 times, boil-proveryaet -leave to cool. I did this three times, but it is possible and more.
step-7
Carefully take out the tomatoes on the grill to give a little to drain the syrup.
step-8
Then put on a rack dryer and dried at 60 degrees for 24-36 hours: not a quick process, but worth it.
step-9
Here are the result of cherry. Here you can see that some still damp, I then douchevina. So I wrote such a spread in time.
step-10
Pour them with powdered sugar and put in a nice box, it's a gift ))
step-11
Very interesting to have a taste of them, sweet (well, it is natural), light notes of Basil and ginger, by the way, the amount of ginger can be easily increased. The taste of tomatoes is not felt.
