English pie
This cake is a classic recipe English cuisine. Prepared with beef and lamb kidney. Delicious juicy filling is a crispy thin cover of dough. A hearty and flavorful dish for the whole family.

Ingredients

  • Kidney

    500 g

  • Beef

    300 g

  • Potatoes

    4 piece

  • Onion

    3 piece

  • Cream

    300 ml

  • Tomato

    2 piece

  • Butter

    100 g

  • Flour

    1.5 cup

  • Milk

    150 ml

  • Thyme

    1 tsp

  • Vegetable oil

  • Chicken egg

  • Spices

Dough. Let's start cooking with it. Sift the flour (1.5 cups) and blend with cold oil (3 tbsp.) with a knife until fine crumbs. Stir in the milk and add 1 tablespoon of dried thyme, and salt. Knead the dough and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Meanwhile, peel the potatoes, cut into semicircles and fry in vegetable oil until Golden brown 5 minutes. Transfer to a baking dish.

Then cut onions into half rings and fry now in the butter until Golden brown. With a slotted spoon place the onions on top of potatoes.

Proceed to the meat. Remove from the kidney ducts and fat, cut into strips. The same strips cut the beef, roll the meat in flour.

Fry in the same pan where you fried onion 5-7 minutes on medium heat, add the cream and cook for another 5 minutes.

Put the meat in the form of potatoes and onions. Slice large chunks of tomatoes and mix with the meat.

Thinly roll out the dough to a thickness of not more than 1 cm and cover them with a form. Lubricate the beaten egg and pierce with a fork in several places. Bake in a preheated 220*C oven for 25 minutes.
