Coconut in flavored icing
It's not even a recipe, it's an idea that should appeal to fans of coconut. Coconut in my family only love me, so I trained this sweetness is exclusively for myself and was very surprised when my Coco nut, there was so much to enjoy! My daughter very much, even about the candy we forgot.

Ingredients

  • Coconut

    1 piece

  • Sugar

    0.5 cup

  • Lemon juice

    0.25 tsp

  • Vanilla

Cooking

step-0
To start my coconut and make a hole there. Pierce long sharp object (for me it was a screwdriver) is one of the 3 dark spots at the top and collect the juice, I got 0.5 Cup. The liquid we use. Sometimes it happens that the coconut is old and the fluid is gone, do not worry - you can take water and can pineapple juice, then the caramel would taste like Pina colada :-) .
step-1
The juice is collected, you can then wait until the coconut is cut a strong man's hands, but if time or these hands are not near, you can take a plank, a hammer and punch a couple of times on the walnut, more than three attempts, none of the walnut will not survive.
step-2
Clean the nut from the outer hard and inner soft peel.
step-3
And thinly sliced, the thinner the better!!!
step-4
Liquid from coconut combine with sugar and heated. When the liquids a little, add some water.
step-5
For flavor I added in the sugar syrup a little icing sugar with natural vanilla (can be vanilla) and lemon juice
step-6
Then dip the sliced coconut in syrup, whole coconut was completely covered with syrup and cook on low heat until the coconut is completely saturated with the syrup, and the syrup will become very thick, a drop of caramel must freeze, if you drop the syrup on a plate.
step-7
The coconut becomes translucent, and when he is old and we used water instead of juice - the caramel will become milky white.
step-8
Then spread the coconut on a silicon Mat, allow to dry, I dried in the oven at the minimal temperature for about 30 minutes. The coconut should become brittle. Allow it to cool and enjoy tasty and original snack. :-)
