We unexpectedly presented a jar of honey. And I finally bought molds for baking muffins. On this occasion I decided to bake honey muffins for my sweet tooth husband.

Cooking
Melt honey and butter (margarine), add sugar and dissolve it until the butter with the honey hot.

In a greased form put the dough and place in a preheated 180 degree oven for 20-25 minutes. In the recipe it was written that this amount of dough is enough for 12 muffins. I cooked for the first time, so comply with the recipe. But it seemed to me that the test is not enough, because it is necessary to put in tins to 2/3, I have reached the 1/3:)
While the muffins sit in the oven, you need to prepare the syrup. To do this, honey mixed with lemon juice, bring to the boil in a thick-walled container and then boil on low heat, stirring constantly about 10 minutes until light thick.
Still warm muffins to get out of shape and abundantly watered with syrup. Best right down to a warm muffin in syrup and dip it from all sides, and then place them on a dish. As for size, my doubts were confirmed. This amount of dough is enough for a full 6-8 muffins. My though rose 2 times, but still turned out small.

In any case, even though I missed the size, the taste is not affected. A delicate, soft taste of honey in lemon-honey syrup is simply delicious for a real sweet tooth.
