Braised cabbage with green lentils

For this recipe we need green lentils brand Mistral, which must be boiled according to the instructions on the package.

Onions and garlic peel and finely chop. Carrots too clean and grate on a grater. In a saucepan, heat olive oil, add the onion, garlic and carrots and fry on medium heat for 5-8 minutes.

Shred cabbage, add to the vegetables, season with salt and pepper, add the tomatoes in own juice (I have a homemade tomato sauce ) and simmer over low heat for 20-25 minutes with the lid closed.
