Ha-tason - jam of the Kalmyk cuisine. This recipe I saw some time ago. Decided to try it. Tasty, but too sweet even for a Amateur like me. So when a few days later I began to make cakes, I decided to experiment with it. So it is entirely my improvisation and now it is our favorite filling.

The pies from this dough out very tender, but have cleavage and a little crunch.
Early in the morning, make cakes. Mix the Apple mass with rice. Roll out the dough thickness of 0.5 cm ( not thinner), sprinkle with flour, fold in four and roll out again. Again folded in four, sprinkle, roll, and so 5-6 times. Roll out the dough very thin, otherwise the butter will simply ground in layers and strata fall. On the dough without it excellent.
Then form patties. I just cut it into rectangles. On one side put the stuffing and cover the second. Don't worry, the filling does not leak.
Bake at t=180 for about 30-40 min. do Not expect that they are very browned. In the test, almost no sugar. They are good warm or cold.
