Cooking

step-0
The idea of a 3d Christmas tree I found on an American website, the author of the idea and templates Mar, thank you very much. The printer I have, so the templates were redrawn with the tablet manually. This is the basis of Christmas trees. The first and main part. The templates I made from the album cover, because one side should be smooth.
step-1
The second part of the tree.
step-2
The third and final part of the tree. The smooth side of the template need to be oiled.
step-3
Now I will tell you about the test. For the dough I sincerely thank the Slovak Zdenka Hanzalkova. A long time ago, I found it on one of the culinary sites. This dough is designed for three-dimensional cakes, such as boxes, cups, plates. I have been using this recipe. I love the cakes from this test. I do everything strictly by the recipe except the amount of flour. Flour we are different, with different moisture and gluten. The original was 650 g flour. For my meal is a lot and the dough was oak, and when rolling out crumbly. With the flour I have experimented and calculated that in my case, the flour needs just 455 g. Well, take the paste. All you need to measure right, to weigh. It is important for this recipe. Powdered sugar I have a home, a homemade. It is necessary to sift in a pan with a thick bottom.
step-4
I have honey from sunflower, but the ordinary floral I have done too. There is no difference.
step-5
The same is true of lard. I made this dough as pork lard, and goose, as in this case.
step-6
Add to powdered sugar honey and lard. Begin to heat over medium heat, stirring constantly.
step-7
Melt until smooth and add the spices.
step-8
Bring to the boil and add the sifted soda. Stir until the foam. Remove from the heat.
step-9
For convenience, I combine one Cup two eggs and one egg yolk, mix with a fork until smooth.
step-10
And then a thin stream pour in the batter, quickly stirring. Although the original need to add one egg, each time stirring well.
step-11
Gradually add the sifted flour.
step-12
Knead the dough. It should slightly stick to hands. Put it in the package and 3 hours in the cold. The original was on the day. Doing so, the difference I noticed. As for me, three hours is enough.
step-13
Chilled dough for convenience I have divided into parts.
step-14
Each piece of dough dip in flour, so it will not stick to the parchment on which to roll out the dough. The parchment I have quality, but the dough is still slightly sticky. Roll out into a thin layer with a thickness of 3-5 mm. Apply the template to smooth side, greased with vegetable oil.
step-15
Christmas tree pattern from the test cannot be moved. So you need to roll out on parchment, and it is cut and excess dough is simply removed. And then the parchment with Christmas templates to transfer to the baking sheet.
step-16
From the remnants of dough I make cakes.
step-17
Bake in preheated oven at 170-180 degrees until Golden color. Then, the tree is easily assembled, baked blanks while they're hot, I'm right with the parchment hanging between two flat surfaces ( in this case, two broad boards for cutting). And put on top of the load ( I have this pan). When everything has cooled, you can decorate. For the glaze you need 1/3 protein 0.5 shop or home, if it is a small free-range eggs. With a fork mix with sifted powdered sugar ( store-bought) and at the end add the lemon juice. Glaze to shift in kinetic. I have a thick file of papers in which I made a small hole.
step-18
Decorate the Christmas tree and gingerbread on desire and ability.
step-19
The tree is collected when the icing is already completely frozen. For the first part put the second and third part close the top. If something doesn't fit, then the notches can always be sawed. But I'm easy going. As puzzles for children.
step-20
That's such an unusual and very beautiful Christmas tree turned out on Christmas day in the year of the Dog. My daughter loved it, and most importantly. Here we have a Christmas tradition...
step-21
And that tree out of salt dough on the same template. We did it in school for the competition. When baking salt dough a little led, so the tree was a bit crooked. But we still painted her with acrylic paints and took it to school.
