Cabbage pie
Traditional cabbage pie, today I decided to make so. For the contest "world of animals".

Ingredients

  • Milk

    1 cup

  • Yeast

  • Cabbage

  • Carrots

Make the dough. For this purpose, in warm milk, dissolve yeast, a little sugar...

Add a little flour (to make dough, like liquid sour cream). Leave the dough for 20 minutes in a warm place.

Meanwhile, vzobem eggs with sugar and salt.

In rising the dough, pour the egg mixture.

The melted (not hot) butter.

Add the sifted flour and knead the dough. Add the flour gradually, as it may need slightly less or more.

Knead, first in the bowl, then on the table, sprinkled with flour, smooth elastic dough.

Leave in a warm place, covered with a towel, to rise for a couple of hours.

For the filling, fry in vegetable oil carrots, cut into strips.

Add onion, cut into strips.

Cabbage, shredded. Fry for 5-7 minutes. I have a cabbage young and very tender, so I fried about 3 minutes.

Salt, pepper - to taste and add chopped greens.

Eggs boil, clean and cut into strips. Add to the cabbage.

Rise like dough.

Take a big (accent on the first syllable) of the dough, roll it on the table, greased with vegetable oil (also grease).

Transfer to a baking sheet, greased with vegetable oil. Moulded bumpers. I just bent the edges of the dough up from all sides.

Spread the filling.

On the table lay a sheet of parchment paper. Grease it with vegetable oil. Roll out thinly the dough and transfer it to the parchment. Cut out the muzzle of a deer, with a sharp knife.

Move together with paper deer pie. Remove the paper.

From the remnants of dough, cut out leaves and draw veins with a knife. Leaves distributed around the deer on the frame.

Stir in the egg bowl. Grease the egg of the frame, the leaves and the face of a deer, partially horns, and eyes. For eyes need foil cut detail (see photo) which when baked, will leave this place the light, and in the center (where brushed with the egg), will be a dark pupil.

Bake in a heated to 200 degrees oven until ready. I was baked for about 30 minutes.
