Sepanski potato pie with meat
Sepanski pie or "shepherd's pie", the original shepherd's pie or cottage pie. A cake can replace a full dinner, since it consists of two layers, the meat and potato side dish. This recipe was invented in England in the eighteenth century, at the time it was made from pieces of meat left from the Sunday dinner, which was crushed and covered with mashed potatoes, mixed with milk, butter and eggs.
