Meat cakes
I used to make this "cake" only on holidays. But lately this dish in my daily menu. The toppings are always different. I love these cakes with fried mushrooms or squash caviar. And boys are always asking: "Make us three men - with the meat..." So we now call "three!" Today, as a filling I beef, stewed in tomato juice. It's delicious and easy as always! Help yourself!

Ingredients

  • Beef

    1.5 kg

  • Onion

    2 piece

  • Tomato juice

    400 ml

  • Puff pastry

    400 g

  • Spices

  • Bay leaf

  • Salt

Cooking

Cut meat in small pieces. Fry in small amount of olive oil, until it boils away all the liquid, and the meat is slightly browned.

Put in a saucepan. Add the chopped onion, Bay leaf, salt. Pour in the tomato juice. Leave to simmer until cooked. I have it takes about 40 minutes.

Prepare puff pastry envelopes. To do this, roll out the dough, cut into squares, make the incisions and fold the edges.

Ready envelopes put in a preheated 200˚C oven for 10-15 minutes. Then, in the center of each envelope put the filling, sprinkle with herbs and serve!
