Potato dumplings in Polish
Last summer I went to a wedding in Poland. Of the many treats, especially remembered this dish.

Ingredients

  • Potatoes

    1 kg

  • Starch

    250 g

  • Brisket

    350 g

  • Onion

    1 piece

  • Salt

  • Black pepper

  • Yolk egg

    1 piece

Cook the potatoes any way you can be in uniform but you would ordinarily. Best potatoes to cool and mince. If the potatoes are too crumbly, you can just mash. Transfer to a bowl and tamp it down.

Next, we need potato starch. It is necessary to measure out exactly 1/4 of the volume of the potatoes. To do this, divide the potato mixture into four equal parts.

One part is temporarily removed. A vacant recess filled with potato starch.

Now the return of the potato, which was cleaned, add the egg yolk and season with salt, mix everything. Knead the dough.

From tear off pieces of dough and roll the balls slightly bigger than a walnut. In all of the gnocchi with your finger make indentations.

When dumplings are ready, put to boil the water in order to boil. Meanwhile, make bacon. It must be cut into small stripes. Place the brisket into the pan to have roasted it a bit. While fried bacon, chop the onion. When bacon is slightly brown, add prepared onions. Even a little bit will progaram until cooked onions.

Drop gnocchi into boiling water. They fall to the bottom. With a wooden spoon stir them gently. Dumplings float and are cooked from the moment of boiling for five minutes. Served hot with onion and bacon.
