This cake I did on the 5th anniversary of my daughter. Fully for her order. I planned it for 1.5 months... the Idea spied on the Internet. But here I found a similar recipe. My still different.

Cooking
First I drew the butterfly pattern. Such it took me 3 pieces and one cut along the contour. First, I baked a cake. Photos I didn't, just spun and forgotten. But this is the most common sponge cake, it is present in almost all my cakes. So, for the preparation of sponge cake, whip in a solid foam protein 4 chilled. Then gradually adding, but not stopping to whisk, add 1 Cup sugar, vzbit in a solid foam. Then, whisking, add the egg yolks one at a time, whisking until many bubbles. Now carefully enter the sifted flour and slowly mix until smooth. The bottom of the form to lay a parchment. Grease the parchment and sides of form with butter and sprinkle with semolina. Gently pour the batter and flatten it. I baked the cake in a slow cooker ( 860 W, 5 liters, diameter of bowl 19 cm) on mode Pastries 50 minutes.
Make a meringue. We will do 3 butterflies and combine into one. Therefore, for each butterfly you need 2 chilled protein vzbit in a solid foam, then add 4 tablespoons sugar and whip in a solid foam.
For painting I used a file for papers. I bet its one end in a Cup for convenience, put it in meringue, made a hole the size I need. Preheat the oven to 140 degrees. The parchment turned down a picture, greased with vegetable oil and drew the contour of a butterfly. On the first layer I made a partition on the wings, but then did not. They are no longer needed. On the parchment put one butterfly on top we spread a layer of meringue that was left, then the top of the cream put the second workpiece while pressing it lightly a layer of cream and top with third piece. Put in hot oven at 140 degrees for 20 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely in a cool and dry place.
Prepare the shortbread dough. For this cold margarine or butter to grate.
Grind with fingers into crumbs and add sugar and soda, mix well.
Add one at a time 2 egg yolks, mix well and if needed add another 0.5 cups of flour.
The finished dough to put in the package and chill for 30 minutes.

Now the stuffing. First I made the cream filling: 5 tablespoons of sugar combined with 4 tablespoons of flour and poured the hot milk - 0.5 liters, stirred and set on a slow fire. Cook until thick. On request, with sugar you can beat the remaining yolks. And you can cook your favorite custard. I have the same he is. Fully cooling. Cheese I have a home, greasy and grainy after freezing. First I whipped the cottage cheese in a blender until smooth, then added the custard and whipped again. The cake broke into pieces and combined with the cream, well mixed. I have done it all in advance.
And in the festive morning I assembled the cake. First I put some of the filling on a shortbread crust, flattened.
Put on top of a butterfly, lightly pushing inwards evenly put the filling.
The top was decorated with milk glaze, which I gave Nina a... bag with frosting dipped in boiling water for 10 minutes, then kneaded with hands, made a hole and quickly the top was decorated. Wanted to do exactly, but the birthday girl asked: And why the wings are not rough, like a real butterfly? Had to melt the icing as it hardens quickly, pour a little over the top and use a silicone brush to simulate rough wings... For the spots I used powdered sugar ( also from Nina). Just put inside the wing of the small tins of cookies, poured a little sifted powdered sugar to the back of a teaspoon leveled, removed the mold.
And then, when the guests arrived, put the candles and the cake is finally ready!
