Shortbread cookies with almonds and spices
This cookie is baked in Germany at Christmas - usually figures of animals, and it is called "Speculatio with". But when I tried it, I decided that these cookies can delight yourself all year round - its warming aroma of spices give warmth and winter evenings and rainy summer day, and when the court of autumn leaves...

Ingredients

In a mortar grind the cardamom - 3-5 boxes to crush, sprinkle on the seeds and grind, add the ground cloves (or ground cloves 1 flower), cinnamon, mix well

On the table sift flour slide (head first, 170 g, and then, if necessary, backfill the rest). In flour make a well. Crack in egg, stir in the sugar, a pinch of salt, vanilla, baking powder and grind our spices. Add cold and chopped into pieces butter!

Mash all the agony, until the dough no longer sticky and roll it into a ball. Sugar, of course don't melt, and break the dough will have this crumbly texture. We remove our bulb in foil and in the fridge for half an hour.

While the dough is cooled, you need to chop the almonds. It is advisable to take peeled almonds and chop it with a knife, but if you don't want to bother - take a blender and spin it in the almonds, but left whole pieces, not crumbs!

Roll out the dough with a thickness of 5-7 mm and cut using cookie cutters our presets for cookies. I have molds flowers, but you can just a glass cut, and then outline the petals with a toothpick! And if you really do not want to bother, you can just pinch off dough and roll into ball slightly smaller than a walnut and roll it in the chopped almonds to adhere nuts.

Put them directly into the almonds and slightly press to the seeds of almonds stuck. If you are stuck a little backfill from the top.

Now I'm using a toothpick made for more pronounced contours of the petals. I like to do - then cookie will be not to bite and to break directly on the petal.
