Long I thought of this recipe, as acquainted with the famous Cameroonian snack, which I was shocked by his "peculiar", I decided to adapt this dish to our table. The name suggests itself, as in this dish I combined two traditional meals of different Nations: Russian and Cameroonian herring "of Ngondo". The result is so delicious, how unusual. It's very simple and available for all ingredients. I assure you it's worth a try...

The present Cameroonian snack "of was taken by" looks like. Ground pumpkin seeds mixed with smoked-dried fish and various spices, wrapped in banana leaves and boiled. Don't worry, we'll dispense with banana leaves!
So, we will need 1.3 Cup dry cleaned pumpkin seeds. On sale they often go untreated. To make it easier to "nibble", moisten the seeds with water and then the cleaned seeds dry in the sun or in the oven.
Herring fillets (I had mackerel your Ambassador) finely chop. Finely chopped herbs.
Pumpkin seeds grind into powder.
To the obtained powder add a little more than 1/2 Cup of water and stir well with a fork. Water add better than spoons because you may need far fewer (depending on the variety of seeds). The dough should be very thick.
Add the herring and herbs, mix well.
Add hot red pepper and salt to taste (do not forget that herring is already salty). I have a piece of finely chopped chilli.
Beat the 2 eggs with a mixer, until the volume increases about 3 times ( about 2min). Pour the beaten eggs in the "batter". Mix well. The mixture should be watery like sour cream.
Pour "batter" into a well-oiled (I have a regular small frying pan with removable handle diameter 15cm) you Can use any baking, but the layer "test" should not exceed 3-4cm, otherwise the cooking time will increase. Cook for a couple 1ч30мин. Close the form with foil or lid, so that water droplets do not fall into the dough.
That's what should happen. Appetizer cool slightly, carefully separated from the form using the spatula, cover with a plate and tilting. (maybe with silicone forms all the easier)
Absolutely chilled appetizer sliced as you like: slices, pieces, cubes, etc. and serve (Cut very easily as cheese) Appetizer perfectly stored in the refrigerator. Very tasty!
