Olive cookies
Classic Provencal cuisine. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Perfect for hot milk tea and coffee! Aftertaste of lemon adds an additional taste.

Ingredients

  • Flour

    500 g

  • Chicken egg

    3 piece

  • Butter

    75 g

  • Sugar

    250 g

  • Water

    80 ml

  • Lemon juice

    20 ml

  • Salt

    1 pinch

Cooking

Sift the flour into a bowl.

Add sugar and salt. Mix well.

Make a depression. Add the eggs and melted butter. Mix well.

Water mixed with 20 ml of lemon juice and pour gradually. Stir until smooth.

Table sprinkle with 2 tbsp flour, put the dough and knead until smooth. If necessary add 1 tbsp flour. The batter should be smooth and not stick to hands.

Put the dough in a clean bowl, cover and let stand for 1 hour in a cool place.

Divide into 16 pieces.

Every part of velvety in the oval cake and to give form to the boat, wrapping the inside of the longitudinal edges of the tortillas.

Spread on a greased baking sheet. Let stand for 30 minutes. Mix egg yolk, 1 tsp lemon juice and sugar (I added brown). Smear this mixture of our boats.

Bake in a preheated 180 degree oven for 10-15 min.
