Sweet "Salami" has long taken root in our family. The combination of dates and walnuts is very tasty, I hope the recipe you like. This "sausage" can be Packed as a gift and to bring in guests on new year's table.

Cooking
Remove skin dates, remove the seeds, chop. Crumble biscuits.
Walnut kernels chop. In the photo in one dish ground and the other with chopped nuts.
In a Teflon pan mix butter, powdered sugar, lemon zest, dates, optional you can add 1/2 tsp of cinnamon. Cook over medium heat until tender dates into a thick mass, about 5 minutes.
Stir in one Cup of chopped and ground nuts, biscuits, dates and butter. To form a "sausage".
Wrap it in foil, a bit compacted. I got 3 here are the sausages. Chill in refrigerator 3-4 hours. Two sausages I sliced them on a dish and one wrapped in a gift box.
