Bird's nest
A well-known dish in a new way. Actually "Jack" is transformed "Ant". The project is quite long. But my husband had the idea to create a nest with birds, and we decided to implement this idea. For the contest "world of animals"

Ingredients

  • Flour

    4.5 cup

  • Butter

    450 g

  • Sugar

    7 Tbsp

  • Sour cream

    230 g

  • Condensed milk

    1 can

  • Chicken egg

    2 piece

  • Powdered sugar

    5 tsp

  • Leavening agent

For future nest mix 3.5 cups flour, 200 g butter, 5 tbsp sugar 200 g sour cream

Divide the dough into arbitrary pieces, put on a greased baking tray and bake at 180 gr. about 40 minutes

Meanwhile, prepare the birds. To draw on paper the silhouette, cut, sprinkle with flour. 2 tbsp of sugar and beat egg until smooth, add the 50 gr. softened butter, 30 gr. sour cream, flour and baking powder. Knead.

Divide the dough into two parts, each spread on the stencil and sculpt birds. As eye, you can insert nuts. To send them in the oven for 40 minutes (180 gr.)

Ready-made blanks for the nests to cool, break into pieces. Mix until a homogeneous mass 200 gr. oil and a tin of condensed milk. Cream lay in a broken liver, stir well

Take a bowl, similar in shape to the nest to lay her foil. Put the resulting mass, giving the desired shape

Refrigerate for 3-4 hours

Meanwhile, to make the bird's eggs - meringue. Protein of one egg to whisk, until the hard tips. Add 1 teaspoon of powdered sugar, beat well. Repeat. And so until, until the mixture becomes very thick, smooth and shiny. I got 5 tsp. of powder with a slide. Squeeze on a baking sheet, laid paper, half of future eggs and put in the oven (about 100 gr.) until complete drying is about 2.5 - 3 hours. (My old oven, so the meringue was dry with door open).

To prepare for the "dyes" for the birds: carrot and beet juice, chocolate icing. We first tinted birds carrot juice, and then painted and glazed beetroot

From ready-made meringue gently with a knife scrape the middle. Then, place the cream (I'm from the remaining egg yolks, flour, sugar and milk made the custard), to connect the two halves

Frozen Jack gently released from the foil, place on a dish, put inside hand painted birds and put meringue-eggs.
