Cooking
Spices, Bay leaf and sugar in a small saucepan, pour water and bring to a boil. Off. Then, put in marinade sliced rings of red onion and pour in the red wine vinegar. Close the lid and leave to cool.
While the marinade cools, cut the herring into pieces and put in a jar.
When the marinade has cooled, pour it on top of the herring, cover and put in refrigerator for a day. (p.s. the longer it stands, the tastier it becomes). Bon appetit!
