Beets with herring and pickled onions
Another after holiday recycling products. Left after celebrating the New year in the refrigerator is not used beets, a little herring, and from memories of heavy mayonnaise salads becomes ill. I had to invent a light salad, which was very pleased after the holidays, besides served as a side dish. Suddenly someone come in handy. Ingredients

  • Beets

    1 piece

  • Herring

    200 g

  • Onion

    2 piece

  • Salt

  • Sugar

  • Vinegar

  • Vegetable oil

    1 tsp

  • Water

    100 ml

Cut the onion into half rings, I had a small red onion and a small white. Make the marinade, water, salt, sugar, vinegar, a little bit of vegetable oil (I didn't put as herring was in oil). Pour the onion, stir and leave to marinate for 15-20 minutes more.. depends on the degree of desire.

Then everything is just corny. Cut in large dice the beetroot, roughly the same dice herring, add pickled onions, mix well. I dripped a little bit of the marinade to the salad and leave to stand for a bit.
