Once upon a time I was treated like a chicken in a Chinese-Korean family. I searched a lot of literature in search of this recipe. And found it in the book "Vietnamese cuisine". Can't say that it is very tasty. Just because it's a bit unusual for us. The dish is certainly not for everybody. But its advantages consist of very quick and simple preparation, there is no fat, and it is exotic! And the products are all available. It's worth a try!

Cooking
Chicken fillet cut into cubes of medium thickness.
In a frying pan with a thick bottom to melt the sugar until caramel brown, stirring constantly, but try not to burn it.
In the pan with caramel spread chicken slices, stir and simmer on low heat under a lid for 10 minutes. In the process of extinguishing add water to the sauce was runny.
Garlic cut into thin slices, put in pan with chicken. Add the star anise, pour the vinegar, soy sauce, and pepper to taste. Simmer another 3-4 minutes.
Remove from heat, cover and let stand for another 5 minutes. When serving, the meat can be sprinkled with sesame seeds or roasted and ground peanuts. Garnish well suited Fig.
