Jumping bun
They are called "jumping muffin" or "empty bun". A very interesting American dessert. Although these rolls can hardly be called muffins, more like the product of choux pastry. When cooking they increase in volume by 4 times and seems to jump out from the molds. Popover can be prepared as with sweet fillings and sweet (in the form of snacks). Offer you the option of a dessert pudding.

Ingredients

  • Chicken egg

  • Milk

  • Flour

    1 cup

  • Salt

  • Whiskey

  • Pudding vanilla

    1 pack

  • Milk

    500 ml

  • Sugar

    4 Tbsp

  • Powdered sugar

    2 Tbsp

First prepare the pudding. I propose to use any pudding products Haas. I took a vanilla flavor. Prepare according to the instructions on the package. Fall asleep dry mix pudding Haas with the sugar, add 8 tablespoons of milk, all stir well.

In a saucepan pour the remaining milk and bring to a boil. Remove the milk from the heat, stream add the milk mixture pudding, stir, put on fire, bring to a boil and cook until thickened 1 minute.

Ready-made pudding, cover with film and not to "zavetrilos" and remove to cool for 30 minutes.

Prepare the dough for rolls. All the products you need to get in advance, they should be at room temperature. Melt butter in microwave, add milk, salt, eggs, beat with a mixer. Pour whiskey or vodka.

Add flour, mix thoroughly to avoid lumps, whisk.

The finished dough should be liquid, slightly thicker than for pancakes.

Pre-heat the oven to maximum temperature (230-240 degrees), put it in the silicone molds, which are going to bake (you can use metal with Teflon coating). Take out the molds. In hot molds, pour half the dough. Immediately put in oven. You will see how the dough will grow in the eyes. Rolls will be to get out - to jump out of the molds. After 15 minutes reduce the heat to 180 degrees, allow to brown, to dry the buns for another 15 minutes.

Take out the finished buns. Allow them to cool. I want to note that I didn't have hot plates and the rest of the dough I put in the cold. This "stunning" result, the ejection rolls in those molds were not.

Cut rolls with a sharp knife. You will see that inside the void. Fill the buns with a spoon the cooled pudding.

Take the powdered sugar, my vanilla from Haas.

Using a strainer sprinkle with icing sugar Popover. I want to note that Popover can be prepared in advance, but the stuff right before serving. They have a nasty feature (although maybe it's someone and like it) soak. Enjoy your tea!!!
