Chocolate croissants with coconut filling
On the eve of the Catholic Christmas in the Czech Republic the women of the house a myriad of various cookies, which is called "tsukrove". I'm also addicted to this custom. This year I have "only" six types of cookies with which I want to share with you. Tsukrove bake at least two weeks before the holiday and store in closed boxes. So it's not too late to prepare sweets for the Christmas season!

  • Powdered sugar

  • Vanilla sugar

  • Leavening agent

  • Yolk egg

  • Coconut shavings

    150 g

  • Egg white

    1 piece

  • Powdered sugar

  • Butter

    1 Tbsp

  • Dark chocolate

    100 g

  • Coconut shavings

    50 g

  • Butter

    40 g

Cooking

Flour, baking powder, cocoa, powdered sugar, vanilla sugar and soft butter knead crumb.

Add egg yolk and knead quite thick dough.

Wrap it in clingfilm and put in the refrigerator until prepare the filling.

The filling is prepared very simply: mix coconut, powdered sugar, melted butter and egg white. All grind with fingers, it turns out the mass that can be molded, for example, a ball.

The dough, remove from refrigerator, divide into four parts. On a floured surface place one piece of dough, on top of him to put pishevoy film and using a rolling pin, roll out a circle about 20 cm in diameter. It does not matter if the edges will not be smooth. Round flip up the dough, but the film is not removed, it is easier to make bagels.

Divide the circle into eight triangles. From the coconut mass to sculpt a little "sausage" and put it on the wide side of the triangle.

Bake bagels in preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 13 minutes.

For decoration pour into a bowl of coconut. In a water bath melt the chocolate with the butter. I used store-bought prepared chocolate frosting. Dip the chocolate ends bagels.
