Flaky biscuits with meringue
An audit of the freezer, found a Cup of frozen proteins. Need somewhere of their "to attach" do not throw out... and here is the package of puff pastry! Flip through your treasured notebooks and something found. Turned out very nice. Crunchy, sweet, easy and quick! Great cakes for evening tea!

Ingredients

  • Egg white

    3 piece

  • Brown sugar

    1 cup

  • Puff pastry

    500 g

  • Apricot

    3 piece

  • Powdered sugar

    3 Tbsp

Start to leave the dough out to thaw for 40 minutes. Then turn on the oven and set the temperature to 180 degrees. Protein whisk, gradually adding brown sugar until stable peaks. You can add to the proteins a half-teaspoon of lemon juice. Sugar can be used just white, but brown cane gives a more intense flavor.

Half a package of puff pastry, 250 g on the Board, floured, roll into a thin (1.5 mm) layer and cut out the circles. I used a glass ramekin with a diameter of 10 cm.

On each circle put a teaspoon of whipped egg whites.

Fold the circles in half, pulling the edges stung like a dumpling.

Spread on sheet and bake in preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 15 minutes. "Varenichki" our opened and become like the shells of shellfish. These cookies author (toffee) and is called "Mussels."

Carefully remove the "mussels" from the baking pan and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
