Description

Orange scones with lavender
Wonderful pastries, a cross between a bun and a cookie, a native of Scotland. In Prim England, scones are served to the five-o-clock, and in the States served for Breakfast. Responsibly say: delicious-flavorful at any time of the day!

Cooking

step-0
In a bowl sift the flour, mix with salt and baking powder. I use "home" baking powder: two parts of citric acid (if the crystals are large, pound them in a mortar) and baking soda and one part cornstarch (you can substitute flour).
step-1
Add the sliced cold butter, chop with a knife into crumbs. Add the powdered sugar, mix well.
step-2
To remove the zest from half an orange, squeeze the juice. It will need 50 ml.
step-3
In oil-flour mixture pour the cream mixed with egg yolk, orange juice, alcohol, add the zest and lavender flowers. In the absence of the latter can increase the amount of orange zest - will be a very tasty simple orange scones :)
step-4
Knead soft, dont stick to hands dough.
step-5
Roll out the dough to a not thinner than 2 cm Mold with a diameter of 5-6 cm cut out scones. Small caveat: you should cut the dough with a downward gesture, not turn the form around.
step-6
Transfer scones to a baking sheet and put into the cold for 20-30 minutes.
step-7
Bake the scones, pre-lubricated tip (sides do not touch) cream or milk in a preheated 190*C oven. Baking time - about 15 minutes.
step-8
The most delicious scone - warm, broken in half lengthwise, with your taste jam. He is moderately sweet, with a wonderful delicate crust and soft middle... And the flavors soar...
