Onion marmalade with plums
Onion jam is absolutely a brilliant thing that you eat, even not fans of onions. It absolutely goes well with baked or grilled meat, pate. Onion jam is stored for a long time, another issue is that it ends quickly.

Ingredients

  • Red onion

    500 g

  • Brown sugar

    50 g

  • Thyme

  • Pepper pink

  • Vinegar

  • Tabasco

  • Drain

    300 g

  • Vegetable oil

    3 Tbsp

  • Wine red sweet

    200 ml

  • Salt

Cooking

Peel and cut onion into "Meridian", along. ( Cut along then, to the onion petals remained more juice.) First cut into quarters.

In a pan pour oil "IDEAL" mix of sunflower and olive oils.

Put in the pan chopped onion, add thyme and simmer, stirring frequently.

Pour into the pan with the red wine. And so, until evaporated, 200 ml., add a little salt, pepper optionally, you can drop a bit of Tabasco and a bit of balsamic vinegar.
