Bread muffins
The form - rolls, to taste - bread, and are called "English muffins" (Muffin inglesi). The recipe is from the book "Delizie al forno". But the appeal of these bread in cooking in a frying pan.

Ingredients

  • Flour

    450 g

  • Yeast

    1 pack

  • Water

    250 ml

  • Yogurt

    125 ml

  • Salt

    0.5 tsp

  • Semolina

    50 g

  • Vegetable oil

Cooking

Dissolve the yeast in half of the indicated amount of water, then add the remaining water and the yogurt, mix thoroughly.

Sifted flour mixed with salt, add yoghurt and yeast mixture, mix.

Spread the mass on a floured surface, knead smooth and soft dough. Transfer to a bowl, cover with a towel and put in a warm place for 30-40 minutes.

The risen dough lightly press down. Roll out to a thickness of 1.5 - 2 cm, molds to cut out circles (original recommended diameter 7.5 cm)

Roll (slightly, lightly) in semolina and laying on a floured surface, leave for restoy another 30-40 minutes.

Pan greased with vegetable oil, fry the rolls from both sides for 7-8 minutes (focus on your oven) until Golden brown.

Serve hot with butter, jam/marmalade

Or sandwiches with cheese, ham.. what you want.
