Spicy roasted carrots
It's quite unusual and savory side dish of roasted spicy carrots and aromatic spices. Perfect for fish and meat dishes.

Ingredients

  • Carrots

    600 g

  • Bay leaf

    1 piece

  • Vegetable oil

    1 Tbsp

  • Butter

    1 Tbsp

  • Coriander

    1 tsp

  • Cardamom

    1 tsp

  • Zira

    1 tsp

  • Black pepper

    6 piece

  • Paprika sweet

    1 tsp

  • Cinnamon

    0.5 tsp

Cooking

Scrape the carrots and cut into thick sticks. I povybirat thin the carrots, I didn't have it, even cutting. Fill it with boiling water for 3 minutes, then drain the water.

Arrange the carrots in a baking dish, add oil and butter. Roast in a preheated 200 degree oven for 15-20 minutes. Grind in a mortar the coriander, cardamom, cumin, pepper, paprika and cinnamon. Sprinkle spice blend carrots, add the Bay leaf and gently shake the form. Put back in oven and bake until tender.

Ready, the carrots should be soft, but solid, not mushy. It is covered with a delicious crust. And the aroma which spreads in the kitchen during cooking the carrots will excite just a rabid appetite. Bon appetit!
