Description

Finnish baked pancake
I was amused the Finnish Santa Claus (as it sounds in Finnish), and now a pancake. Here, a pancake! But, in fact is the surest and most ancient recipe, it should be. Our great-grandmothers were trained for both gas and electric stoves and ovens. The pancakes and they, namely, baked! I decided to try this option. The word-that is, Pannukakku, literally translated as "Skovorody" pie (aka, pancake in English). Yes, cook it well with dough, from which you get a lush, plump pancakes. You can take your favorite recipe of pancakes.

Ingredients

  • Flour

    400 g

  • Milk

    600 ml

  • Sour cream

    200 ml

  • Yeast

    7 g

  • Chicken egg

    4 piece

  • Sugar

    2 Tbsp

  • Salt

  • Assorted berries

    50 g

  • Powdered sugar

Cooking

step-0
Mix all dry ingredients: flour, yeast "SAF-Moment", salt, sugar
step-1
Add warm milk, stirring constantly, sour cream room temperature. The yolks separated from the whites. The egg yolks added to the mixture and mix thoroughly. Cover with linen towel and put in a warm place for 1 hour (if it is raised too quickly crush it with a wooden spatula).
step-2
After a time, beat the whites into a thick foam, to enter in approaching the dough, but not to mix it too, not to expel air and carbon dioxide.
step-3
The number of such "Skovorodkin" pie depends on the diameter of the pan. I had very big! I baked 1 cake and another plain pancakes. Put in a preheated 180 degree oven.
step-4
After a few minutes, when the pancake begins to rise, take out the pan and pour the berries into the middle of a pancake or like me - on the whole surface (just don't pour due to the fact that the berries sink in the test and will not be desired for beauty). Return to the oven and bake until tender. Do not overturn!
