Carrot-orange sauce
Interesting carrot sauce with a pronounced citrus aroma and flavor based on soy sauce. Ideal for meat, sausages or just as a spread on bread..

Ingredients

  • Carrots

    1 cup

  • Orange

    1 piece

  • Soy sauce

    50 ml

  • Vegetable oil

    3 Tbsp

  • Allspice

  • Honey

    2 tsp

  • Greens

  • Water

    50 ml

Peel the carrots

and grate it on a fine grater.

Take a small orange, thoroughly wash it under hot water and

grate the zest (based on your taste, I took half of an orange). Got about 1.5 tsp.

Lightly saute carrots in a pan with vegetable oil. When carrots are roasted (burnt in any case should not - the sauce will be ruined!), add the zest, cook for another minute

pour the soy sauce and water.

Cut the orange into four pieces and squeeze the juice. I just squeezed manually.

Add to the carrots with the zest and honey shall pound.

Bring to a boil, turn the fire and under the lid, leaving a small gap, let simmer until almost evaporated liquid. Turn off the heat and add finely chopped greens. Pepper.
