That seems to be a similar dish and we do, and something added, plus local spices, and all the new style and all new plays!!! Qutab - a traditional and very popular dish of Azerbaijani cuisine. Cooking
In warm water, add salt, flour and make dough. Leave in bowl, cover with towel, let rest for 5-10 minutes.
The dough thinly roll out, cut in large round shape.
The half rolled dough spread the stuffing, sprinkle it with pomegranate seeds. Oh, I forgot to write about the stuffing. Minced lamb kutabs put in, but, you can and beef. To salt, add black pepper and onions (on a grater or with the meat for the meat grinder)
We put our Qutab in half. Carefully sculpt the edges. (Couldn't resist, made with beautiful edges! And in Baku served just smooth Crescent. )
We spread our kutaby into the pan. On dry, lubricated it is not necessary. Make a small fire, cover with a lid. One side of the fry under the lid, the other without.
Qutab ready sprinkle with melted butter, and sprinkle with sumac. Sumac - spice (spice) reddish-Burgundy color with sour taste. Sumac gives the dish a sour taste and is often used instead of lemon. Is added to meat and vegetable dishes, put the dishes of fish and poultry, in marinades, salads, kebabs. But I also make the yogurt sauce with sumac and served with the kebabs. In General, I discovered for myself this wonderful spice!!!
