A pot of pepper
A cool spring I want to eat something hearty and hot. Or even very hot. Maybe burning? As this spicy meat pot with pepper. Variation of Argentinean cuisine for the contest "Autumn tango".

Ingredients

  • Beef

    700 g

  • Onion

    500 g

  • Red sweet pepper

    4 piece

  • Garlic

    1 piece

  • Vegetable oil

  • Thyme

    1 piece

  • Black pepper

  • Peppers red hot chilli

    1 piece

  • Salt

  • Lemon peel

    0.5 piece

  • Sugar

    2 tsp

Cooking

Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan. Lightly fry in oil the garlic and onion, diced.

Add to the pan the beef, cut into cubes with sides of 2 cm and fry a Little.

In a pan pour water to almost cover the meat. Season with salt, add a pinch of ground pepper and thyme. Cover the meat with a lid, simmer until almost cooked.

Sweet and hot peppers cut into rings.

Add the pepper to the meat, mix well. The pan remove from heat.

Pass the meat and peppers in pots or in one big pot. Cover and send the pots in the oven on a medium heat. Simmer in the oven for 20 min.

With half of the lemon to remove the zest and mix with sugar.

Get a pot and add the zest with the sugar. Little stir. To send the pots in the oven for another 10-15 minutes.
