Cooking
Raisins pour the rum and leave to soak, preferably overnight. Then slightly dry it before adding to the dough.
Sift the flour and mix with baking powder.
Add all remaining ingredients, except candied fruit, raisins and almonds. Knead the dough.
Add the raisins, almonds and candied fruit. Again carefully knead the resulting mass.
Then you can go two ways. Previously, I've made Stollen, but when I saw how huge it turns out, was to divide the dough into two parts. Now take the dough and roll out (or mash it with your hands) on a flour covered surface to square 30*30 (15*15 for two stylenow).
Then fold the dough into a tube.
Smooth out the sides. Left and right repel the surface to get this kind of shape.
On a baking sheet, it is desirable to lay three layers of baking paper so that the bottom is not burnt. Bake at 160 degrees for 55 minutes.
Butter to melt. Immediately after baking grease them Stollen and sprinkle with powdered sugar, using only half the butter and half the powder.
After cooling, repeat the procedure. Due to this, on the surface a sweet crunchy crust.
Enjoy your tea and happy Christmas!
Finally I want to mention that the recipe comes from the book German baking, and it is clear that not all of the same spices from the recipe are in the house. But if You have at least half, Stollen already get tasty.
