step-0
So, let's start! First we need to make "Paneer"- so India is called cottage cheese, but for us accustomed to call it "Cheese" though, it's not quite cheese. Boil in a saucepan 1 liter of milk.
step-1
While stirring, slowly pour in the milk 2-3 tablespoons of lemon juice.
step-2
In a minute or two, the curd separates from the whey.
step-3
Strain it through cheesecloth, rinse with warm water (under the tap), tie the cheesecloth and carefully squeeze. This is our "Paneer".
step-4
Crumble the cheese on the work surface.
step-5
Now start to knead it thoroughly until it becomes completely homogeneous, and Your hands a little greasy.
step-6
Hands roll out small balls, about the size of a walnut or a little less. The balls must be smooth, round and without cracks.
step-7
Now let's prepare the sugar syrup. Pour into a clean saucepan one-third liter of water and sprinkle in there 150 grams of sugar.
step-8
While stirring bring the syrup to a boil. Boil for five minutes.
step-9
In the finished boiling syrup down our balls. Leave between them a little space, because over time the bulbs will increase in size about 2-3 times. Cover them with a lid and "cook" for 10-15 minutes.
step-10
In 10 minutes You will see something like this.
step-11
Now put this pan into cold water, cover and leave for about a day. During this time, the balls are thoroughly soaked with the syrup and you will get a great rasgulla.
step-12
And here's how they look in finished form. Be happy and healthy! Bon appetit!
