Currant sauce with mint
Try the delicious black currant sauce with a wonderful aroma of mint. Taste the sauce sweet and sour and it is perfect for oladushki (pancakes, cheesecakes, etc.), to ice cream, pudding, and even meat.

Ingredients

  • The juice of a freshly squeezed

    150 ml

  • Sugar

    2 Tbsp

  • Butter

    25 g

  • Mint

  • Water

    50 ml

Fresh currant berries to wipe through a sieve.

Turns out very tasty freshly squeezed black currant juice with pulp.

Mint should be separated from the sprigs and finely chop the leaves.

In a frying pan over low heat, melt the butter, add sugar and cook until the sugar dissolves, stirring constantly. You should get a caramel color.

Then pour into the pan water and freshly squeezed black currant juice. Sprinkle with chopped mint, stir and simmer on medium heat for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
