Irish potato cakes
Amazing pies. Surprised me twice: first time when I read that they are served with beer, the second time I made them and ate them hot. Hot they disappointed me, and I decided to remove this recipe from their records, but when my husband tried them cold, then all of their taste and open. Tender potato pancakes with a spicy aroma of cumin. Indeed, with beer they are very good.

Ingredients

  • Potatoes

    750 g

  • Cream

    3 Tbsp

  • Butter

    4 Tbsp

  • Flour

    4 Tbsp

  • Cumin

    1 Tbsp

  • Thyme

    2 Tbsp

  • Nutmeg

  • Salt

Cooking

Potatoes peel and cook in salted water until tender. The water to completely drain and crush the potatoes into a puree.

Add to the potatoes the butter, cream and flour. Mix until mixture becomes thick.

Season with nutmeg.

The bottom of the baking tray lay a parchment. I have at the moment it ended, so I greased the pan with butter. The potato mixture to take a tablespoon and put it in the form of pancakes at a distance of 3 cm from each other (because the cakes rise). Pies sprinkle with cumin and thyme.

Bake in a preheated 200 degree oven for 20-25 minutes until Golden color.
