Description

Casserole German style c cassiram
In fact, nothing special, this strange word is. Kasseler (Kassler) - salted and lightly smoked pork meat, but essentially something like our smoked ham. In Germany it is often used for casseroles, and even boiled, fried or just in desserts is not added. Today, I offer the option of casseroles for a family lunch/dinner, for a change, so to speak. Delicious, hearty, home-style!

Cooking

step-0
Potatoes, peel and put to boil. I think that 6-7 pieces of medium size will be enough (I have a little more because I bought, a pancake, some tiny potatoes). Potatoes need to take the one that doesn't fall apart and cook until tender, and it is 20 minutes approximately.
step-1
If Brussels sprouts are fresh, then it is necessary before cooking to prepare thoroughly, namely, to remove all sluggish/damaged upper leaves and trim the bottom. Then cooking, about 7-10 minutes after boiling.
step-2
And here kassler, which I have already mentioned. In principle, the usual smoked pork, the meat is not dry. The Germans don't eat like that, and for me so it is ready in principle.. well, okay with them, the Germans. Continue to cook:)
step-3
Meat cut into fairly large cubes.
step-4
Fry until Golden Bochkov (I live without oil fried in a hot pan, because fat though not seen much, but he is still there). After roasting the meat out of the way, it's still not useful.
step-5
In a pan (on medium heat), melt the butter.
step-6
Add the flour and quickly to interfere (with something like a whisk to avoid lumps)! I, of course, not without most of these lumps.. always, while taking pictures already and lumps and crisp..
step-7
Gradually pour in the milk (carefully continue to interfere!), and then the vegetable broth. If the broth is not salty - salt. You can season with pepper and nutmeg. Another minute to cook the sauce and all, ready ;) By this point I was ready potatoes and sauerkraut: drain the water and put to cool.
step-8
When the vegetables are slightly cooled, cut the potatoes in big pieces, cabbage and you can leave whole, but you can cut it. Put vegetables and meat in the form, fill sauce, mix well. Now put in pre-heated to 180C oven for about 30 minutes ;)
step-9
Already feel the scent? ;) Here they are, German casserole: nothing unusual, but at the same time hearty and delicious!
