Pastoral pie
Honestly, I was sure that absolutely everyone knows about Apple pies, nothing in this plan would not surprise me. What a mistake! This pie from my mother's old prescription pad produced oshelomljajushche impression. Never before did not prepare and did not try. And for good reason. A chic combination of walnut and apples. Looks impressive on the table. The recipe has Austrian roots.

Ingredients

  • Flour

    300 g

  • Butter

    100 g

  • Brown sugar

    200 g

  • Chicken egg

    4 piece

  • Lemon juice

    2 Tbsp

  • Cognac

    1 Tbsp

  • Apple

    4 piece

  • Leavening agent

    1 tsp

  • Almonds

    1 cup

The first thing you need to grind in a blender nuts

Knead the dough: butter 50 g brown sugar, 1 egg mix thoroughly, adding gradually about 250 grams of flour. Or all put in a blender and knead the dough.

From the dough form a ball, wrap in cling film and refrigerate for 30-40 minutes (or freezer for 10-15 minutes)

Make filling: beat yolks of 3 eggs with 150 g of brown sugar, add lemon juice, cognac and 1 peeled and finely grated Apple.

To this mixture, beat in the flour (the remaining 4 tbsp), baking powder and chopped nuts, I ground almonds.

Separately, beat the whites of 3 eggs, gradually enter the beaten egg whites in the filling.

Clean 3 apples. Cut them in half, and each half carefully cut in parallel strips.

In a greased form put the dough. Moulded bumpers. Pour the filling.

Put the filling on half of the apples, them a little "push". Bake the pie for about an hour in a hot oven. I have the oven standing on the 4th division, which is about 200 degrees. The finished cake sprinkle with optional powdered sugar, chopped nuts or grated chocolate according to your taste.
