Description
In Australia and New Zealand is very popular confection called "Elven bread" (Fairy bread), which is made of three ingredients: toast bread smeared with butter and thickly sprinkled with multi-colored dragees. Cooking
In the bowl of a mixer add butter, sugar, and beat until smooth. Then add the egg, vanilla and again beat on low speed.
Mix the flour with salt and add to mixture makenow. Mix on low speed. The dough should gather into a ball. If the mixture is not coming together and crumbles, add ice water, one tablespoon at a time. The dough should be elastic and not stick to hands.
Roll the dough into a loaf and cut off 1/3 of the dough.
Stir carefully to cut off 1/3 of the dough of cocoa, wrap in plastic wrap and put into the refrigerator.
Roll out the remaining dough into a 30 cm loaf and shape the bread. Tightly wrap loaf in wax paper and put into the freezer. Cooling to solid state in about 15 minutes.
Roll out chocolate dough to a thickness of 0.5-0.6 cm between two sheets of parchment paper.
Wrap frozen dough white chocolate tests in a single layer, making sure to avoid air bubbles between the layers. Cut off the extra chocolate dough and leave it for another use or roll out and cut biscuits. Wrapped the dough is cool again in the freezer, pre-wrapped in parchment paper or plastic wrap, about 15 minutes.
