Onion marmalade
Delicate, sweet sauce that can be used for meat, with cheeses... For fans of sweet sauces. Spied in the blog Belonika, made some adjustments (since I don't like spicy sauces)... and was pleased with the result! Try!

Ingredients

  • Red onion

    1 kg

  • Olive oil

  • Dry red wine

    100 ml

  • Sugar

  • Vinegar

    4 Tbsp

Cut onion into half rings. In the casserole heat olive oil, add onion and fry on medium heat, stirring occasionally, about 5 minutes. The main thing - to not burnt, it will give bitterness.

Then add the wine, vinegar, sugar, salt, pepper, reduce the heat, cover and, stirring occasionally, leave to stew. Time it will take about an hour, and maybe more! We need to ensure that the bow was "sticky".
