Description

Eintopf with pork
Eintopf. This is not a soup but not a stew... something in between. For the soup too thick for the stew is too watery. During the war my mother was captured and then in a concentration camp. Managed to survive only because she took a fancy to the wife of one of the officers and took her into his house as a maid. Mom told me that eintopf (literally one pot) in the German army was cooked on Thursday and on this day, for officers it trained, all eating from the same pot. Recipes intoppa there is a great variety. This is a very hearty and very tasty dish)))))))
