A La Kibbeh
Was going to do today, one Arab dish, and my blender for some reason stopped to work. I've been thinking what I can do, because all products have already been prepared, and remembered another dish of Arabian cuisine - kibbeh (its name in different Arabic countries pronounce differently). Decided to do it, but with some changes. Filling kibbeh - walnuts. But my husband has brought so much veggies yesterday, like we have at home harem. I decided to make a vegetable filling instead of nuts, and the dish left as is. The husband and our guest from London was delighted.

Kibbeh (cube) is a dish of Arabian cuisine. Although the word "kibbeh" (another pronunciation: Kubba, kibbeh, Kubba) in Arabic means "ball", kibbeh do not only spherical, but elongated and looks like a lemon, and as a casserole. The only difference is that spice and the mince and burghul several times to shred in a food processor. I let us down today, broke down for some reason, and I remembered the other version of the dish, equally delicious, but slightly changed it: made a different stuffing and added the gravy. My mother in law makes these spice and she taught me to do. In Turkey, few are able to do them and the most interesting: neither my roommate doesn't know how to make them, and everyone asked me for the recipe, even from the neighboring houses came. I, of course, praised mother-in-law that it is her merit that taught me. Definitely sometime to share with you. And today will do something similar, only in the form of casseroles. First we pour the bulgur with hot water and leave for 30-40 minutes. Meanwhile prepare the stuffing: add salt and all the spices, of which cinnamon and cumin binding. There also add finely chopped onion and all mix well. Add to minced meat bulgur, water and olive oil and again all mix well. Base.

Cut all the vegetables randomly, sprinkle with salt, stir. Now put half of the mince in greased pan, evenly distribute it on top of the vegetables.

Put in a preheated 180 deg. the oven, and meanwhile, make the dressing. I used the recipe scullion Angela07 http://www.povarenok .ru/recipes/show/497 24/, and you can make any tomato sauce you like. Take the casserole out of the oven (it took around 20 minutes), pour the sauce back in the oven for 15 minutes. Get, cut into portions.

If you do not have bulgur, substitute for barley or corn grits. If you want to try the dish in such form, as to say the Arabs, then use lamb. If you do not like this meat, replace chicken or veal. Filling: in the original walnuts. You decide for yourself how tasty - nuts or vegetables, and so-and so delicious. I advise everyone to try, and You and Your family will be satisfied. Sauce-gravy is optional, it's my invention.
