Description
Candy cane is a popular treat in the West, especially during the Christmas holidays. I suggest You bake cookies in the form of this caramel sticks. The cookie is soft, tender, insanely delicious chocolate flavor and a light walnut finish. Instead of cocoa you can add food coloring to make the cookies even more vivid and colorful.

Cooking
Sugar grind in a coffee grinder into powder. You can take the ready the powdered sugar, but I like cane sugar for its light caramel taste.
The softened butter beat with a mixer with powdered sugar for several minutes.
The large eggs separate the white from the yolk. We will only need the yolk, add it to the butter-sugar mass, beat with a mixer.
Add cinnamon, almond extract (a few drops) and gradually the sifted flour. Hands knead the dough until smooth. If the dough is too dry, add a little milk.
Divide the dough in half. In one part add cocoa powder and knead thoroughly. If the dough is very soft, you can cover it with cling film and leave for 30-60 minutes in the refrigerator.
From each half of dough to pinch off 8 equal pieces, roll them into balls. The balls roll into strips of equal length (about 10 cm).
To put strips of brown and white dough and twist together in the form of a spiral. One end of the "spiral" to bend in the shape of a hook. To shift the workpiece on the laid parchment or silicone Mat baking sheet. Bake in a preheated 190 degree oven for 10-13 minutes. The ends of the spirals should be slightly browned, do not overdo! Ready liver to cool.
