Borschova dressing
This recipe was prepared by my grandmother, mother, and now I... Every year I close a gas station and in the winter we cook a delicious soup...

Ingredients

  • Beets

    3 kg

  • Carrots

    2 kg

  • Tomato

    6 kg

  • Vegetable oil

    1 l

  • Salt

    1 Tbsp

  • Spices

Peel the vegetables. Beets and carrots to grate. Grandma and mom add 1 kg of sliced onions. But I like freshly roasted onions. So I do not add. Tomatoes scroll in a meat grinder. In a saucepan, pour vegetable oil, bring to a boil and place the beets and carrots.

Simmer until the vegetables are soft, stirring often to avoid burning.

At this point you can add 1 kg cleaned and cut into strips of bell peppers... And onions... this year I didn't put. Pepper is grown, to get nowhere... And pour the tomato. Mix well. Bring to a boil, salt, add seasonings to taste. I add herbes de Provence...

Simmer 1 hour on low heat. Stirring occasionally... Roll up into sterilized jars.
