Brown rice with mushrooms and green peas
Very tasty and healthy side dish. Ancient Indian doctors used brown rice in their practices. I love this side dish. Recipe from Julia Vysotskaya. This time I cooked half portion. So, finely chop the onion. Wash and thin slices cut the mushrooms. In a deep saucepan or skillet with a heavy bottom, heat the oil and saute the onion until transparent. Add the cumin, mushrooms and salt and pepper to taste.

Stir in the rice, add water and cover the pan. After 2 minutes, reduce the heat and simmer the rice until cooked.

Add thawed peas, stir. Simmer for another 2-3 minutes, then add fresh Basil. I was not a fresh, added dried, for lack of a fresh, get away and such. But with a fresh flavor even better!
