Cooking
First, let's make the syrup. Combine 2 cups sugar, 2 cups water and 1 tbsp of lemon juice.
While stirring bring the syrup to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
Pour in a Cup 1 Cup of powdered milk and a quarter Cup of regular flour.
Add 3 tbsp. of warm (soft) butter.
Start kneading the dough and slowly pour the warm milk. Then moisten hands with oil and proceed to the next step.
From the resulting dough roll into balls the size of a walnut. The beads are preferably rolled as quickly as possible, because this dough tends to dry out and roll his balls will be quite difficult. But it's not terrible. In the dried dough, you can add a bit of warm milk and knead it again. Balls try to make smooth and without cracks.
In a saucepan or skillet with high sides, pour oil for frying and heat it. Put the balls into the oil and fry them on low heat. The fire must be very small, but sufficient for frying is important. After a few minutes frying the balls will emerge and begin to spin in the oil. At this point, can slightly increase the fire.
When the balls fry until dark brown, remove them and immerse in the syrup. Keep them in syrup from one hour to one day.
Gulabjamun ready! Bon appetit!
